Number of women taking loans rises by 48%: Study

The report reveals that of the total new loan accounts of 86 lakh opened by women, over 56 lakh are in these five states. The study notes that there has been a 48% growth in successful credit applications among women borrowers between 2015 and 2018. “In comparison, the growth among male consumers is slower at 35%,” the report said.
