Footfalls at malls drops as cases in city rise

The recent ‘trial show’ of one of India’s foremost standup comics in a Thane mall was going so badly that at one point he contemplated doing what American singer Akon did in Delhi when his greatest hits were met with glazed loo-ks: crowd-dive. There was just one problem. The ‘crowd’ consisted of six people, that too on a Sat-urday evening. Acknowledging the lack of str-ength in numbers, the comic quipped: “The pressure to perform here is not on me, it’s on you.”
