Maratha quota: SC reserves verdict on pleas

The Supreme Court on Friday reserved its judgement on a batch of pleas challenging the Maharashtra law to grant reservation for Marathas in jobs and educational institutions and also whether the apex court's landmark 1992 Indra Sawhney verdict (called the Mandal judgement), putting a 50% cap on quota, requires re-consideration by a larger bench.
