With Covid-19 cases dropping drastically in the city and the number of beds vacant increasing, the BMC has put on hold its plan to build a new jumbo Covid centre at Mahalaxmi Race Course. While the BMC had floated tenders for the jumbo centre, it looked for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for the project too.
