‘Covid hit business of 1 lakh Gujarat suppliers’

Reflecting a decline in demand in the pandemic year, 1.06 lakh suppliers did not do business in 2020-21, suggests the data provided by Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN). The number of suppliers who generated e-way bills for goods during the pandemic year 2020-21 reduced from 27.47 lakh in 2019-20 to 26.40 lakh — down 4%.
